These Eyes

are cryin'

We are (once again) giving up on the Buckeyes. Tug says we aren't going to watch them anymore. Since the season is over I suppose he is right, but he is meaning ever. Too much pain. Luckily it is kinda like childbirth. Come next season we'll think "Hmmm, I remember this hurting a bit but it wasn't THAT bad was it? I mean, nothing we can't handle, right? We have to pay $100 so we can get every game? OK. No, I can't take the kids to their soccer game...the Buckeyes are on!"
So, another bad end to a pretty good season. It's like deja vu all over again!

8 people are laughing with me:

sorry charlie. we were sad for you guys last night. and no, it's NOT our fault they lost. we didn't tune in until 24-10. just get back on that saddle next year. you could have missed the pain, but you would have had to miss the dance. :) love

btw, is that true about the kid and their soccer game? too funny.

sort of true. this was our initial concern when we lived in Abq and thought about putting Sugar in soccer. Valid concern me thinks. Now that we have DVR we just record the game if times conflict. not a biggie, then we just FFwd all the commercials. works out dandy

If you truly have scarlet and gray blood, you can't give up on those Buckeyes. By all rights, they shouldn't have been in the championship game -- baby team and all. And come on -- it was in New Orleans. Think about what they outcome would have been if it had been played in Ohio. And some of those penalties -- give me a break!

It was a bad situation and they'll come back, better than ever!

We think they can come back and (depending on who leaves/stays) they should have a pretty good team next yr. If we are able to beat USC at USC then it'll look like the championship game again. Problem is losing 2 yrs in a relatively handedly puts a bad taste in others mouth. If it is another wacky year and the other team will be an SEC team there will be lots of people who wont vote us in. As it is analysts don't think we are any good. ARGH.
(I hate Mark May and all his ilk)
