Ponderings

These two posts from Cris made me laugh so I thought I would share:
If man evolved from monkeys and apes...
why do we still have monkeys and apes?

Aaron (doing his spelling): "Mom, what is a four-letter word that begins with Sh?"
Me: "Shit"
Aaron: "Can I really write that down?"

*****
Now for my own pondering:
Why is it soooooo hard for a 2 year old (close enough) to poop in the toilet? I don't get it. He knows what he is doing. He knows that it is wrong. He knows that I want him to do it in the toilet yet he comes to me and says
"Mommy, poo-poo"
"You have to go poop?"
"Ya"
"Ok, let's go"
start running down the hall when I notice he is running a little funny
"Wait, did you already go poop in you undies?"
"Ya" big smile looking up at me. ARGH.
Does he not want that sucker that I am bribing him with? Does he not want the Skittles I am also bribing him with? Does he not want a sane mother???
why, whY, wHY, WHY?
I'm not sure whether to cry or poop my own pants...

2 people are laughing with me:

Apparently cuz he's a boy and he's 2! And something about "payback"? (So my mother says??) Also, take relief in knowing that one of your 2nd cousins is tormenting his mother in the same way! Too funny, glad I'm out of that stage! Now I'm suffering through the incessant rants of a 4 yr old. You just can't win as a mom! Oh well, enjoy it all.Take care.

Try making him run around naked for a few days... I gar-on-tee he won't poo in his pants. He may poo on the floor, but Rome wasn't built in a day.
