I'm starving

Actually, I am relatively certain that I am, in fact, not starving...but my mind sure is playing some awful tricks (like suggesting I should go eat that carton of Cold Stone ice cream in the freezer). I think I have weighed myself 13 times today and, so far, no change. Well, there was one change and it showed me down about 7 lbs but when I stepped off it said error then on my re-weigh there was again, no change. What gives? I thought you lost like 26 lbs per day while in Phase 1 of South Beach.

Annoying.

Off to eat some cheese and almonds, yum.

I feel your pain. And a gain from yesterday is really making me feel bad!

Do you have any peppermint ess. oil? It can help with taking away hunger. Put a drop in your water. It can regulate hormones. A lady called me from Canada and said she lost 45 pounds just using peppermint in her water.

Dr. Mike had a great post today on www.proteinpower.com about changing the way we respond. You should read it.

Hi dear SIL. I know the pain of SB (well, not right now, but remember the pain). I don't know if it's officially sanctioned by SB, but go get yourself some Edy's (or Dreyer's) sugar free ice cream. Mint chocolate chip, chocolate, moose tracks are all divine, sugar free, and flour free (I think) and all follow the low fat dairy rule. Just don't eat too much or your stomach will be wrecked. the sugar free fudgsicles ain't so bad either. xoxo

At least you're trying hard. My Weigh Down diet is a bit of a joke at this point. I only ate half my salad at Red Robin, but I ate more than my fair share of Max's garlic fries. I feel bloated and guilty!

Hang in there with SB. Once it kicks in, it kicks in! Oh, and lay off the pepperoni. ;) Love ya

big ol' glass of water ... yeppers, that can pretty impressively take off the edge!

lots of water also increases the rate of your metabolism so it actually helps you lose weight.

and if you put a green tea bag in it to steep for a few minutes, you also get your antioxidants for fighting aging.

drink up my dear!!

Just stopping by for a peek at your blog since I see your comments over at some other blogs I read all the time... HELLO!

I've busted my widening butt at every diet fad, healthy lifestyle change, etc and so far the only thing that works for me is getting pregnant or trying to get pregnant! I had a personal trainer, LA weight loss, and more for 6 months straight - not an ounce down and they couldn't figure it out. I ate similar to the SB diet. I got pregnant just 3 months ago and am down 6 pounds. I think it has something to do with eating 6 small meals a day with lots of plain or crystal light water, instead of 3-4 meals with protein bars and lots of stress measuring every dang thing I ate. The big change will happen when I jump back on the treadmill.

However it works best for you - YOU CAN DO IT!
