But first another skirt. I can't decide if I like this or not...kinda cute, kinda bedspreadish. I do like the fabric, I just don't know if I like it as a skirt. 
The fabric is reversible so I tried to make the skirt reversible too which led to an odd seam, increasing my dislike.
Honest opinions please!
And now for the pants. The fabric store did not have any fabric for The Ohio State University (though they had Michigan, puke) so I had to go with my second choice for some pajama bottoms for {j}.
Oh yeah: skirt tutorial here, pants tutorial here...any sewers (one who sews, not a crap infested sewer-that is) out there explain to me how a hem can come out correctly (no gathering/bunching) if the skirt is cut circular on bottom. when you pin the hem up it will be to less fabric won't it? my hem gathered (on the plaid side)...any way to avoid this-or was it just bad cutting/pinning on my part?

I like the idea of a reversible skirt, but I personally don't like the fabric. Did you pin the hem in place before sewing? I have never had that problem with the hem on a skirt or a dress. Of course, I've only made 4 or 5 of them, but never had that problem.
It really depends on the fabric -- some of them stretch a little, which worsens the problems. The best way to deal with it (which would be impossible if you really wanted the skirt to be reversible) is to hand sew the hem. It's much easier to control the way the hem looks. You have to gather the sewn edge, ever-so-carefully, just a little at a time.
It's impossible to find Buckeye fabric even in Columbus -- I don't know what the story is there. I guess they won't sell the rights to the logos.
Personally I ADORE the fabric. I think it is gorgeous. Not sure it works for the skirt though. It might just be the picture, but it looks a little to stiff for a swirly skirt?
As for that last part, it was in Greek and I don't speak Greek.

Ok, so I searched my memory on a circular skirt, and this may not be any help or answer the question you are asking at all but...
When sewing the hem of the skirt it was pointless to pin it. My MIL, who is a genius at these things would just roll a small hem and sew as she went. On my own I tried to iron it instead of pinning it, again a very small hem as it would never come out right. Hers always came out better but it took far more patience.
Oh... and the pants look awesome!
Now you need to go get a top commenters thing for your sidebar because I would be on top now. hahaha
I asked my roomie (who does know how to sew) and she said it depends on the fabric and the type of hem. She said the smaller the hem the less bunching.

OK - I like the fabric... I would need to see it and feel it to know if I like it for a twirly skirt.
For the hem... You have to "ease" it in. I'll show you sometime - but it is a pain in the patoot.
Who needs buckeye fabric... just go with plain red and applique a block style "O" on the thigh!! :) More to learn to put off the inevitable knitting!! :)

I like the fabrics, though I am not sure I like the combination of colors. It is hard to tell from a picture. I bet it is super cute in person. Perfect for fall. Will you make me one? :)

I think the fabric is very "in", but I prefer the reverse side.
Hems - I agree, the smaller, the easier.
OSU fabric - I thought I saw some at Walmart in Kansas. Online, Joann Fabric has OSU fleece throw kits. You could cut one up for jammies.
yeah, tug found some fabric online but i was hoping for some in store.
