Just foolin' around

As April Fool's jokes the girls have been hiding anything and everything from me. I overheard Boo say, sadly, "No one has played a joke on me today" so when my mom called I thought I would let her be the one to fool Boo.  Boo's birthday is coming soon and she has been asking grandma for another American Girl doll so I told my mom to say that she wasn't going to be able to get one. Boo is on the phone listening to my mom when I see her eyes start to water. Then she has a full-fledged meltdown so my mom says "April Fool's". It took awhile for it to sink in so I got back on the phone with my mom who says she told Boo that "All the American Girl dolls are dead. They no longer make any of them." My mom felt very bad that Boo started crying and apparently started crying herself. She also got Sugar on the phone (her own idea this time) to say she wouldn't be able to make it to her First Communion—cue the tears again. I thought both were funny.

On a non-joking note, SP's first tooth finally came through (on Sunday 3/30). You can't really see it in the picture but it is her bottom right...

8 people are laughing with me:

Hello - just me a new one to this blogging thing and you left a comment - I almost missed it!!! Just saw it when I was looking over somethings I wrote in the past and wondering what I should be writing about or if I should be writing this or that. Thank you so much for the info. What a kind thing to help us new bloggers out!

Just my kind of humor! Love it. It makes the joke that much better if tears fall first. ;) I told my kids I was pregnant, only to then tell them April Fools.

SP is beyond cute! Love her.

Poor girls. Mean, mean, mean. But funny. I told my husband I was pregnant, which was probably even more mean. ;) Glad that my sister and I think it's funny to make jokes about our fertility . . .
