2 miles and a new background

I made it on another 2 mile jog outside today. At least I think I did. We decided to take the dog to the dog park so I told Tug I would jog there and he and the rest of the family could meet me. I knew it wasn't quite 2 miles to the park so I just set my watch for 25 and a half minutes. I reached the dog park in 19 minutes then just jogged around for the remaining time. We checked the mileage on the way home and it was 1.6 miles to the dog park, which put me at 11 minute 48 second miles (helllllloooooo SLOW POKE). So if that pace was consistent, since I kept jogging for a total of 25.5 minutes I should have gotten the full 2 miles in. YAY me. I have started the 10k training and last Wednesday I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill but split it up (jogged a mile, walked 2 minutes, jogged a mile, walked 2 minutes, jogged half a mile). Still pretty happy with myself even though I walked some. Tuesday I am supposed to go 3 miles. . . ack. I think I will do my weekday jogs (Tues/Thurs) on the treadmill and the Saturday (long) jog on the road.

Now for the background. . . I am ready to get the 4th of July theme off, but am fresh out of ideas on what to change it to. Any ideas??

i am sitting here guiltily reading this as i drink a chocolate milk shake from carl's jr. topped with creamy whipped stuff......geesh i wish i woulda ridden my exercise bike today. but it is a saturday and i don't really like to do structured things such as taking care of my body on saturdays.
but good for YOU!
as for background ideas...
well, you are the queen of coming up with something cute!!! so i trust you'll choose well. there are so many different "looks" out there it is so hard to choose.
maybe you could dazzle us with a family portrait. with the dog of course.

Hi there, I came over from my blog to say hello!

You might be impressed with my speed, but I'm impressed with your stamina! I can't run for 25 minutes at all...I'd fall over and have to have a little snooze.

I love reading about how other people are doing on their running journeys; it helps to know other people are doing it too, doesn't it?

That is NOT slow! That is GREAT! Something huge to be proud of. You are switching over from being a reluctant victim of the road to being...ahem...
A RUNNER!
I tried to run a 5 miler and after three miles that damn pain in my knee (from the marathon) hit pretty bad. I had to STOP and walk and I cried. It's so frustrating to feel like you'll never be able to run any distance again. I know it will be okay, but I was pissed at the time.

I think you are doing great! I wish I could jog to the corner and back without puking up a lung. I'm able to walk faster and longer now so we can start going on hikes. Still. I guess I'll have to work up to that running stuff. Congrats! Keep it up!
As far as a new background. Hmmm. Be more constructive with my feedback . . . the pressure. Um, okay, it's going to be August . . . maybe you could do a black and white photo of the sky with awesome clouds with the sun breaking through. I don't know. I wish I could make my own templates, but I'd probably drive myself nuts changing them all the time. I'm sure whatever you put up will be awesome!

I'm proud of you for jogging at all. I hate jogging and push-ups. I kind of liked the DVD you loaned me... PX039 or something. I did 1... and I feel like that should hold me a few days.
But... cr....they want me to do this 6 times a week? What is wrong with these extremists?

well... It's Sunday, maybe I'll start again tomorrow...
Thanks for the loan anyway...

oh, yeah....
don't you think watermelons (and something with Woody) would be good for August...
and the Buckeyes are always in season...

As for a background.... since you LOVE having your photo taken I think it should be all about you. Forgrt Tug, forget the kids... I want to see you... Regina's favorite color, Regina running into the sunset as your header.

Be brave! Go for it! ;)
