Outty

Sorry not much being said here. Tug's mom is in town so we have been trying to show her some sights. Tug and I were able to go on a date last night, dinner and a movie. We saw Potter. I must say it was rather boring. Then again, that book was the worst (I thought) of the entire series. Some old lady in front of us started crying at the end of the movie. I couldn't help but laugh.

Off to get ready to head North . . .

5 people are laughing with me:

Yeah, I didn't care for it much either. I didn't even cry and that is saying something!!

It was okay.
I actually liked that book, but in comparison, you are correct.
I cried when Potter came back with the dead vampire . . . I mean . . . . with Cedric . . . in the one film. (I'm on my first cuppa coffee right now and my brain is a mess as yet). Anyway, I cried 'cos I finally believed Dan Radcliffe as an actor - he acted that scene so brilliantly, I was like, "well done!" Of course, also, because I believed him I finally could see the character's whole life and struggles in that scene . . .

This film was rather . . . . too much focus on who likes who. I don't remember the book being quite like that. I feel like it means I'll reread the series. I should - before the final films come around.

I didn't like all of the slow, blank parts of the movie and the sexual undertones were a bit much. I was hoping for more action...not THAT kind of action, sickos!

That book is one of my favorites from the series but, as always, the movie disappointed me. They omitted what I thought were important details and added in that stupid scene with the fire at the Burrow which did not happen in the book! Weirdos.
