So, it has been 8 weeks since I really started with the whole exercise thing. Theoretically 2 months and the overall weight loss isn't as high as I had hoped. I decided to start South Beach last week to get things going. I hadn't wanted to do an actual diet. . . preferred the whole eat less, workout more approach. Unfortunately that approach didn't work too well for me!! I am comfortable/confident enough in my workouts now (meaning I am going to continue working out and not just rely on the diet) that I am fine doing a low carb thing. I did slow down a bit on my workouts this week~I did 45 min on the bike daily but hadn't done much running. I did do my treadmill workouts last Wed and Thurs, but hadn't the rest of the week. Last night I decided I would try (since I had only done 30 min on the elliptical earlier in the day) so while the girls were in gymnastics I went on the track at the Y. I walked 12 laps, jogged 14 laps then walked 2 more laps for cool down (14 laps = 1 mile) and it felt pretty good so maybe I will go back to 2 cardio workouts/day.

14 people are laughing with me:
I wish I could weigh in, but I haven't a scale! I'm probably up a bit. But only a bit.
Yea YOU!!!! Good job. Doesn't feel spectacular to see the scale numbers go DOWN!!!??! :)
Wow!! That is GREAT Regina!!!
Way to Go!
Maybe you should just follow your toddler for a day and do everything she does for exercise. I hear that's enough to wipe a football player's energy out! :)
Your workout schedule blows me away. I'm way proud of you. I ache to "get going", but I EASILY find a million excuses. Haven't worked out this week at all.....but interestingly.... down 2 lbs. My biggest loss yet, if I'm correct. Weird.
that's awesome, regina! sadly, i don't think I could actually jog for a whole mile...
i'm proud of you!
Great job, Regina! Will power and hard work!!
I'm up 5lbs this week(?!), but DOWN a skirt size. Wierd on both counts.
I wish Wow would just go away. I'm such a failure.
Good for you. You impress me.
Zero.
I'm staying positive.
It didn't help that Trina gave me a list of the foods I can and can't eat on SB....I was doing it ALL. WRONG.
Well I am housesitting again and dont have a scale. I will weigh in next week.
good job on the weight loss
HOLY SMOKES, that's awesome!!
i don't even own a scale. and all the stuff you are telling me you've done makes me tired just reading it. but YAY for you. you know my hubby bought me a trampoline for my birthday in april. i bought weights. and a jump rope. then my mom bought me some sports bras. ok. so that being said. there is NO excuse for me to not be doing something. except maybe the whole moving thing.
but since i have this high blood pressure thing i really need to get on the ball, or at least the trampoline!
but you have really inspired me and i think i just might try to go to bed a bit earlier and do a wee bit o' exercise tomm.
I know I'm late to the game but I'm still at zero/zero. I've been feeling shlubby but it's because of the monthly dealio so maybe I might lose some weight this last week because of nerves...getting ready for the marathon next weekend! I'll bet I lose five pounds by the end of that thing, but I'll gain it all back in about five minutes with all that free food at the finish line (it's what will keep me going to the end even if I have to CRAWLlike strawberries, sandwiches, yogurts, bananas, sports drinks, waterwaterwater, strawberries strawberries cups of beautiful, delicious, red strawberries, all you can eat yummmmmmmmmmm...
Awesome job!!! I don't know what I weigh... I don't even know what day of the week it is! I will be better about it I promise!
