Tug challenged me to a 2 mile jog today. I went first, he is out running now. I didn't make it. I just went and measured how long I was able to jog and it was 1.8 miles. Ugh, so close. I did jog some again after walking so in total it was probably right about 2 miles, but I was wanting to jog consecutively. It took about 25 minutes to do the 2 miles (with the walking). Why is jogging soooo hard??
Tug wins. He made it the full 2 miles in 21 minutes. I have been "training" for 2 months and, according to the training, should be able to run 3 miles but couldn't complete 2. He has not been training and just went out and ran further than me ~ ugh. Off to ice my knee.
8 people are laughing with me:
I think you're both a winner. Good job!
Keep working on it and you can beat him next time.....but bet something really good first.
Yeah well i think he might be a bit sore today. I think you prob won't be. So can he move????
You are a WINNER! :)
Paul is training for a local 5K on the 4th of July. He's running 3mi in 30-31 mins. he's doing a great job and i am really proud of his commitment.
That's awesome Regina! I couldn't even imagine attempting to jog 2 miles!
Stoppit. You are doing an amazing job. Hey, you are OUT THERE while you could just as easily be sitting on your ever-lovin on the couch with your case of Dr. Pepper and bag of cheetos next to you. Also, 1.8 miles in 25 minutes is no small thing. That's about 5 minutes faster than I could have done it a couple of years ago. I had been "running" for 10 years before I even attempted more than 3 miles at a shot, so there.
I think I'd keel over after a mile. Well done, Regina!
I think that Tug should not get to participate anymore since he can run 2 miles in 21 minutes. Sheesh.
