Getting Serious

That there is my log. My nutrition/exercise log. Time to get down to the nitty gritty. I hadn't wanted to do a low carb diet initially (I have always considered doing it later, once time gets closer to my anniversary ~ so maybe mid-September), but I don't do well just exercising and eating whatever I want. So now I am going to write it all down. I found a
nutritional counter online and decided I will do the following:

I am planning on continuing my running training. I think I will go ahead and start a 10k training program. I can't jog a full 3 miles but I can certainly walk/jog 3 miles so if I increase my mileage maybe I will eventually be able to consecutively jog more. Plus, if I get serious with the food then I will lose weight and the jogging will be easier! I am also planning on incorporating swimming into my cardio. I figure triathletes look to be in pretty good shape so if I jog/swim/bike then maybe I will get in good shape too. I am hoping to do some sort of combo of 2 things per day for at least 1.5 hours, 6 days per week.

Scratch that. I am not hoping to, I WILL do 1.5 hours of cardio, 6 days per week.

11 people are laughing with me:

there are a group of ladies in our hs group who report to each other via email what they eat every day. they say it really does help to have to be accountable to someone. [maybe i won't eat that piece of pie... i'll have to tell her then...]. just food for thought [pardon the pun].

i've been doing my t-mill 2mi/day & my total gym. I've got places to go this summer... I'm not going to look good, but i'm not going to look worse either! LOL

Impressive, indeed! And to think I'm trying to talk myself into 20 min a day on my tread! UGH. What's wrong with me?

You go!

My plan was to finish the Couch to 5k training and start the 10k, but now I'm wondering if I should go right to 10k training. Decisions, decisions.

I love the log book idea. Hmm....

Well maybe a log book would be a good idea. It might keep me from going crazy with food!!!

That sounds like a great plan! Good for you- I just found two dvd's (gutting the house) that have never been opened but they are training guides to running a ten minute pace 10K. Want em?

sounds like a sound plan! Don't go getting all skinny so that when you turn sideways, I can't see you anymore. Also, beware of skin flappage once you start dropping the pounds. You can get a black eye from your boob skin if you turn around or bend down too fast. I ran about a little over half a mile tonight. I didn't die.
