Why be a good mom

when I have a computer that can do all sorts of great things like read to my kids. I am new to the site so I can't vouch for it 100% but what I have seen/heard so far is so good. Mrs. P~the crazy gal formerly of the Drew Carey show (I think her name was Mimi, you know with the amazingly horrible makeup)~reads stories out loud so you don't have to. How great is that?!? There are some pretty good stories on it (Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, even older kid stuff like The Tell Tale Heart).

what did parents do before the internet?

My friends

Tangent: This Friday I was going to get together with this cool bloggette to become IRL friends instead of just bloggy buddies. Well, we have been trying to plan a get together since I think around November and something always seems to come up like freak snow storms or holidays. Now this, if you can spare a few, send some prayers their way since I read the area is supposed to be hit pretty hard. Now, on to less important things...

My dear, sweet friends (not deer, sweat friends) I have finally decided to get the nerve to be a bit of a brat and ask for a small, minute, wee little favor. IF you are kind enough (and kind it is) to have me listed as a relatively cool blog thingamagiggy on your sidebar (or in it's own post like old rosetta) could you list my blog as tugandregina. See, I change the name often (as many of you have noticed) and in a quick look around today I found this lil old blog listed as:

Ode to Us
This and That
Washingtonians
OH
Whats in a Name
Onomatopoeia (my personal favorite)

And those are just the ones I recognized as names I might have possibly called the blog before, imagine how many millions I have missed~like blog con queso. So, if you don't mind, kindly list me as tugandregina so I can say 'hey hey, you blog, I like you too~thanks a mil' (Laura, you are fine with just Regina ::jazz hands::).

For those of you who don't link to me, what gives? Especially those of you who link to Laura but don't link to me. She has 15 followers and I only have, well, less than 15. She said herself how I am awesomer than her, come on folks.

WoW-week 0

Did you weigh yourself this morning? I did~whose shoulder can I cry on?

This is it, I really, really, really want to tackle my stupid weight. How hard can it be~don't answer that! I have plenty of motivation now...my mom (who weighs less than me) is coming next month, Aubrey in April, another awesome blogger might be coming later in the year and in October it will be our 10 year anniversary. I really don't want to be fat on my anniversary.

So, I will meet Laura's challenge (alright, it wasn't a challenge just her goal) and shoot for 5 lbs this week. I realize that is a lot for a week BUT your first week is usually your biggest weight loss so 5 pounds it is.

Weekly Goals:
1~begin a food log writing down what I eat, trying to keep calories to around 1500/day.
2~start exercising...I will begin slowly and do 30 minutes of cardio 6 days/week.
3~and really the biggest focus of the week, NO MORE DR PEPPER ::sniff, sniff::

Raising my glass of water to you all...

Warning

WoW is coming back tomorrow. Boy do I need it. I needed it back about 2 months ago but I am lazy and, well that's it just lazy. Oh and gluttonous.  So for those who want to participate again, enjoy today. Your last day of eating freedom.

Or don't and start today being the overachiever you are.

But do check back in tomorrow. You don't have to post anything other than a 'yo, yo~I am back with ya baby' but you need to weigh yourself to start the week.

Script Ohio

Just watched it on TV...gives me chills every time. Imagine how cool it would be to be the tuba guy!!! Come on Buckeyes, you've beaten Colt before, you can do it again (please, please, please).  Tug hasn't stopped pacing since 4:30.

GO BUCKS.
O-H

Time Management

A friend will be coming tomorrow and Wednesday to spend the night and my sister was just here for a couple weeks so I should be cleaning, oh and starting back up with that whole school thing. So, what have I been doing with my time??? Trying to perfect the offensive button silly...
PhotobucketFeel free to (like Paula) offend someone on your own blog and steal the button (html code below) but if you do please kindly (like Paula) leave a comment letting me know.

Wasting time

Or being constructive with it? Confirmed~wasting it. I finally made a little button like I said I would, but I don't like the text...I think it might be better with square text instead of trying to go around the circle but I am done playing for now. Oh and it isn't actually a red background but since my blog post background is currently red this is red...if I change the background post color the background of the picture will change color too. And, dare I have the nerve to put it on my sidebar? I mean, I obviously believe it, but is it playing nice in the sandbox with our other non-Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ? Did I really just type brothers and sisters in Christ??

Christmas Unopened

Now that everyone has received his/her gifts, I can go into further detail regarding Christmas knitting. First we have this cute little guy, I can't believe he hasn't gotten any blog time. I made him initially for a friend's newest little boy, but Christmas being what it is and my knitting skills being what they are I got a bit behind and gifted him to my nephew instead. Then we have the marsan watchcap and a camo thorpe for his brothers.
That stuff was for my brother's family, Tug's sister's family got (L-R down and around) koolhaas for one niece, camo thorpe for a nephew, camo basic hat for another nephew, the scarf/hat hybrid (now dubbed ggyr) for his sister and those fingerless mitts I love so much for my other niece. I forgot to take a picture of the heart I knit for my bil so Michelle, if you get a chance when you aren't busy with the whole "I am spending day and night in the hospital with my husband who just had open heart surgery" thing would you be willing to take/email me a pic of the heart?

For my fil we have an Ohio State themed hat and for my mil a cowl (ravelry link; and a cool necklace with all her grandkids initials...I also got one for my mom but with just my kids' initials).
Then there is the oft pictured scarf I gave my sister along with the shedir hat.
For my uncle I made the turn a square hat and I gave the beufort hat that most of you thought was old looking to my old great aunt~she said she especially loved the color.
And last, but given first way back in November, are hats for Tug's other sister and bil, koolhaas and a single colored turn a square.

I will add all proper links soon done, we are off to try and let Renee see a few more sights during her last visiting day (did I mention my sister is in town visiting? I think I did??) I am starting to get some dirty looks from my non-blogging sister and husband since I am not yet ready to go...
