Grannie Panties
Ok, ok so not actually panties-more like grannie hatties. I was originally making this hat for my sister but, once complete, Tug decided it looks like it should be for an old lady. He says knitting with holes in it (aka mostly lace) makes him think of grandmas. Well, once he said that I decided I would indeed not give it to my sister (sorry nee) but I am curious as to your general opinion...is lace just for oldies?
Yo yo yo yo baby pops...she is down with the lace!

This might save my marriage
Tug and I have a good relationship. We get along well and generally enjoy each others company. Now, if you don't know us too well, our love language might be slightly confusing but it is there (love that is). However, if there is one thing that sends us both over the edge-I mean really causes a fight-it is when we are out and decide to grab a bite to eat. Deciding to grab a bite to eat isn't a big deal but saying "Where do you want to go?", now thems fighting words. See, he thinks I should choose; I think he should choose, and yes deciding Burger King or Wendy's is hard. Seriously folks, it ain't pretty. Well tonight he was watching TV and paused a commercial that he said I had to see...

The winter of our discontent
Well, I have a feeling it will be more than one winter but so be it. The girls were playing some sort of President game today
Surprisingly she kept it on when we went on a walk yesterday. You can sort of see in the picture that she is sick (as well as {j}), mostly just snot-nosed. She has a doctor appointment tomorrow, not for being sick but because I finally got around to scheduling a doctor appointment. She missed her one year checkup which means she is behind on shots though I don't know if they will give them to her since she has been sick (though she hasn't had a fever and I think that is when they will skip them).

Mourning
It started yesterday, I switched to black, I had no hope. Last night I was proven right. I will have his audacity to hope, though, that he proves me wrong about who he is. I hope he doesn't do to our country what I think he will.

Mad Hatter
It has been a hat factory here recently. I have knit {j} and {s} both hats as well as both older girls. Those have been intentional hats. Don't you hate, though, when you are knitting an adult hat only to find it fits your six year old. ANNOYING!!
Did I ever show you her teeth, or lack thereof?
And here are some booties and a blanket I made for a friend who just had a baby girl! Congrats Christine!!

Trick or Treaters
This year was {j}'s first trick or treating. The past two years (in OR) our homeschool group had their All Saints Party on Halloween night so we went to that. Here the All Saints Party isn't going to be until Nov. 9 so the kids went trick or treating. I stayed home with {s} who is sick (s, j, and I are/getting sick). Tug went with the kids and from what I hear they had fun. Lots of people thought the girls were nuns. One lady asked which one flew and at another house a lady made her entire family come out and see the nuns. The girls kept correcting people. {j} loved ringing the doorbell and said to Tug "I ring bell, they give me candy!" Unfortunately one of the times while {j} ran ahead yelling "I ring the doorbell, I ring the bell" Tug heard a thud and it was {j}'s face hitting the concrete. He came home and the girls went back out, but he had fun seeing the kids and handing out candy.
{j}'s St. Michael costume looks like it will fit {s}...hopefully I can make some adjustments in time for the All Saints Party. {r} didn't want to wear her crown, perhaps had she people wouldn't have mistaken her for a nun.
