then not being able to finish. As the picture shows all that is left to do is the thumb. Do you know how much yarn is needed for the thumb of a fingerless mitt? A ridiculous amount . . . ridiculously small that is. Do you know where my second ball of yarn is? Go on~guess. Your guess is as good as mine cuz I have NO idea. I do know I have a second ball of yarn here somewhere, I don't know where it is. I have a whole 109 yards, and I only need about 1 yard, and I have spent days looking to no avail. sigh.
How frustrating. I'm so sorry. And, that colour is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteDid you look UNDER everything?? Yea, I figured you did... you are a mom! Hmmm... what about BEHIND?? Oh, been there, too. Well, what about up higher where only Tuggers can see?! Did he hide that ball from you? NO? He wouldn't do such a thing, you say... Well, then - "Tony, Tony, turn around. Something's lost that must be found!!"
ReplyDeletedid you try praying to St. Anthony? huh? did you? if not, have your kids do it. He works hard for Dani!!
ReplyDeleteBut aren't they pretty? You'll find it, maybe in spring, but you'll find it.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't need them now. You can now wait until you find the yarn and then give them to her for Christmas. :) See, God's saving you a lot of time later. I might add that I love Elm's comment. Too cute.
ReplyDeletemaybe you could make the thumb a different color! is she a "punky brewster" type-sister?
ReplyDeleteon a more serious note, however, i feel for you. but they are really very beautiful!
=)
