On to funner things (no, funner ain't a word).
Erica and her family are here visiting while on their way back to Oregon from Nebraska because her husband had a meeting in Seattle. She dropped him off at a hotel then headed to our house on Monday for some fun. Late Monday we decided we needed to leave the kids with Tug and head to Joann Fabric. We weren't sure what we were going to create but I found a fabric I loved then decided on a skirt. I didn't know how much fabric I would need so I just took what was left on the bolt (a little more than 2 yards) and once home and cutting we realized we actually had enough fabric for 4 skirts so we made the girls (her 2 and 2 of mine, {s} doesn't need one) matching skirts. Last night we were back at the fabric store for half a yard of the contrasting fabric and Erica decided we needed to make little pouches for them as well. They weren't as cute as we had hoped but since it was 1 AM we decided they were good enough.

That's too funny - my scale isn't working either. I guess it needs a new battery.
ReplyDeleteOh, it doesn't take batteries. Hmmm....
You know those button on the background of your blog look like pot leaves, right?
Oh my cuteness!!!!! The skirts are awesome and the pictures are even better! I'm so impressed with the photographer! Regina? Erica? Both? Nice shots ladies. That last one is a definite framer.
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean the last picture (altho it's cute). I was talking about the precious group shot.

I love all the pictures, especially the one of all the kids (minus S). I wish I could learn how to sew. My mom would teach me..my problem is a time issue, that and I don't think my brain can retain new information for very long anymore. Of course the skirts are cute too!

You are talented! Those skirts look great! I got my sewing machine back from the repair shop a month ago (or more) and haven't sewn with it yet...can't get that stupid tension thing quite right. I'm waiting for my mom the sewing genius (and current PA student) to come help me. Or maybe I'm avoiding sewing? ;)
ReplyDeleteWill you be taking orders?? I would really like 2 of those... A size 5 and a size 3/4 :)
ReplyDeletePlease!!!!!
i'll take a size 7, 8/10, and a 12 for my 3 girls...
ReplyDeleteif you're taking orders!
Great photos, cute skirts.
ReplyDeleteI am joining your long list of skirt admirers! The material is adorable. How do you do it???
