Hey Amy

Can you believe it? Dpn's-I am using dpn's! Now, magic loop is easier/quicker/less bulky but my seams are nicer and it isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.

And here is a picture I never posted. We went to a homeschool bbq on Saturday at a local lake and it had an amazing view of Mt. Rainier-or, as I like to call it, Mt. Death Trap. Picture taken by Tug

  2. dpn's means double pointed needles. see how both ends of each needle have a point on them. they are used for knitting things in a circle (in the round). magic loop is using a circular needle (one needle with a long cable in the middle of it) instead of using dpn's. i have only used the magic loop method and stayed away from dpn's cuz i thought they were scary looking (since you need more than the usual 2 needles).

  5. LOL! See, you can do it!! I know, I avoid them too. Right now I am making teeny tiny socks and the dpns are driving me mad, lol.

Now why is it Mount Death Trap? Sigh, I miss it up there.

  6. Mount Death Trap? Because it's a volcano?

  7. uh yeah because it is a volcano, one that instead of saying if it will erupt they say when. it is going to, hopefully some time long after we are no longer in the area ;)
