{j} was in usual picture form
It was a 'hands-on' museum and the kids rode in a carriage and saw how a Pioneer's home would have looked
They were able to milk a cow, pump water from a well, and do various things Pioneer's would have done
The museum had a blacksmith area set up and {j} couldn't see so this sweet museum worker picked him up...in the second picture he is weighing a chicken egg
{r} is checking out the blacksmith in her new hat
And finally a group shot
And some scenery
Wow! What a neat trip! I'm anxious for when my children are old enough to appreciate something like...living history...which Nebraska has an abundance of.
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks like a perfect trip! Glad you made it- too bad it's soooo far.

Was this with your homeschool group? Good times there! I wish we could have been there to experience that with you.
